A: It’s a shampoo and conditioner all in one solid bar, designed to gently cleanse and nourish your hair—without the plastic bottle. And without any silicones, parabens or sulfates

Q: How do I use it?

A: Wet your hair and the bar, then rub the bar between your hands or directly onto your hair to create a lather. Massage through your scalp and strands, then rinse well.

Q: What if the bar gets soft or mushy?

A: This happens if it sits in water. Simply squeeze the bar tightly into a ball and let it dry out on a draining dish, and it will firm back up.

Q: Will a shampoo bar work with hard water?

We’ve travelled across Australia with our bars and haven’t found a water yet they won’t lather in. Customers even tell us they work beautifully in salty water—perfect for caravans, campers, and seaside adventures.

Q: Can I travel with a shampoo bar?

A: Definitely. They’re compact, lightweight, leak-free, and perfect for travelling anywhere. Perfectly lightweight and water-efficient, they’re a must-have for caravanners and campers.

How do I store it?

A: Keep it dry between uses—on a draining soap dish, rack, or in a travel tin with ventilation. This helps it last longer.

Q: How long does one bar last?

A: On average, one bar lasts as long as 2–3 bottles of liquid shampoo, depending on hair length and how often you wash. 

Q: Can I use the bar on colored or treated hair?

A: Absolutely. Our gentle, natural ingredients help maintain hair health and vibrancy while avoiding harsh chemicals.

Q: Are these bars suitable for everyone?

A: Yes, they are. Our conditioning shampoo bars are made with gentle, nourishing ingredients and are suitable for most people. As with many personal care products that contain essential oils, we recommend that pregnant or breastfeeding women use with care and consult their healthcare professional if they have any concerns. If you have known sensitivities or allergies, a patch test is always advised.

Returns & Refunds Policy

At SMS Soap Me Senseless, we want you to love your Solid Conditioning Shampoo Bars as much as we love making them. If for any reason you’re not completely happy with your purchase, here’s how we can help:

 Change of Mind

  • For hygiene and safety reasons, we cannot accept returns on opened or used shampoo bars.

  • If your bar is unopened and unused, you may return it within 14 days of delivery for a refund or store credit (excluding shipping costs).

  • Return shipping costs for change-of-mind returns are the responsibility of the customer.

Damaged or Incorrect Items

  • If your order arrives damaged, faulty, or incorrect, please contact us within 7 days of receiving your order.

  • We’ll be happy to replace the item, offer a store credit, or provide a refund.

  • In these cases, return shipping costs (if required) will be covered by us.

How to Arrange a Return

  1. Email us at info@smssoapmesenseless.com.au with your order number, reason for return, and photos (if applicable).

  2. We’ll confirm the next steps, including return instructions (if needed).

  3. Once we receive and inspect your return, we’ll process your refund, replacement, or credit within 5–7 business days.

  • Refunds will be issued to your original payment method.

  • Shipping costs are non-refundable (except in the case of faulty or incorrect items).
